Staging Management

Staging provides the Website Administrator with the tools needed to manage the process of moving content from review mode to live mode, create rollback points, and identify changes and updates that have been made to the content using a modification history.

  • The Review Site tab displays the modification history of items used in the webpages, showing items that are new, have been updated, have not changed, or have been deleted since the last update. The tab is used to move content from review mode to live mode (including copying content from review folders to live folders). When the live site is updated rollback points are automatically created.
  • The Create Rollback Point tab is used to manually create rollback points (back up points). A rollback point should be created after the website has been made live (the initial push-out of review content to live mode).
  • The Rollback Site tab gives the Website Administrator the ability to roll content back to a previous version if needed using the last rollback point.
  • The History tab displays the modification history for actions carried out in Author-it Website Manager, including updating content, creating a rollback point, or performing a rollback.
