Roles and Responsibilities in the Website Manager
The roles defined for working with Website Manager cover four areas. While the specific responsibilities may differ from one company to the next, the roles are generally very similar.

- The Web Designer creates the look and feel for the website and works with HTML templates and style sheets.
- The Web Developer works with any code used to add functionality to the website (for example, java script).
- The Author is responsible for creating the content in Author-it, including localized content, and publishing.
- The Web Administrator uses Website Manager to create experiences from the elements provided by the designer, developer, and author. Content is reviewed and made live. The role of the Web Administrator will usually be filled by a company's Webmaster, or someone with the overall responsibility and knowledge necessary for maintaining and updating the content on the website.
