Breadcrumbs

Breadcrumbs assist visitors in orienting themselves within a website, and provide a hierarchical path displaying sitemap information from the Home page to the current location.

The Breadcrumb functionality is included by adding a placeholder to the template and defining the placeholder value in Website Manager at the global, experience, or content level using the following format:

Breadcrumb Code

Note: Parameters between [] are optional.

Parameter

Description

divider1

Determines the character used to separate the home and first level menu entry.

If no divider is defined, the default > is used.

divider2

Determines the character used to separate the parent and child menu entries.

If no divider is defined, the default » is used

home

Determines the name of the root element.

If the label is not defined, the default label Home is used.

The example shown was created by defining the parameters as breadCrumbs(">", "|", "Home").

Breadcrumbs
