The Role
You will be working closely with our clients and will be responsible for driving adoption and success of the Author-it Cloud solution. Our Client Success Team comprises consultants, engineers and trainers focused on:
- Building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with our clients and our community.
- Creating, maintaining and propagating a modern learning environment (e.g. Self Help Center with videos, certification and LMS) which allows our clients to learn and implement Author-it in a self-paced, on –demand mode.
- Delivering professional services including implementation, training, and knowledge transfer workshops for client implementation projects conducted by Author-it.
- Consulting with and support our clients post-implementation to ensure successful adoption of Author-it Cloud.
Specifics Include
- Advise on how to use Author-it Cloud in the most efficient way
- Forward ideas and suggestions to our Client Experience team
- Provide input for case studies and success stories
- Troubleshoot any issues our clients may have
- Identify software bugs and request bug fixes from Author-it development

Typical Services you will offer to our clients
- Analyze client’s documentation processes in authoring, managing, localizing, publishing and distributing. Use industry methods for analysis and advise clients on improvements based on Best Practices.
- Configure Author-it software packages. This can include e.g. customizing Word and HTML templates or creating Structured Authoring topic templates. Show commitment to continuous learning and ability to leave your comfort zone.
- Conduct client workshops for introducing client to the completed configuration package. Show strong communication skills and present yourself in a professional manner.
- Train our clients in a classroom situation or via a web session on our products. Have fun in training adults on a sophisticated and powerful software product.

- Competence in delivery of training (remote via web-meeting and on-site).
- Competence in writing technical publications preferred, e.g. user manuals, help systems, or knowledge bases.
- Competence in Microsoft Word (2007, 2010 including word macros), web technologies (e.g. HTML, xHTML, CSS, XML).
- Competence in windows environment (e.g. AD groups, server environments, VM).
- Prior stable work experience.
- Authorization to work in New Zealand.
Preferable
- Knowledge of the content management industry is preferred including familiarity with documentation processes from authoring to managing.localizing and publishing content.
- Authoring background with other CMS products, Frame Maker and Robohelp advantageous.
- Experience with in SQL and relational databases (e.g. SQL Server).
- Project management experience.
- Competence in Help systems (e.g. CHM, Web Help, Java Help).
- Knowledge about industry standards (e.g. SCORM, DITA, S1000 ...).
