San Jose, CA (December 17, 2013) Author-it is named a finalist for the 2014 SIIA CODiE Awards for Best Solution for Integrating Content into the Workflow. Finalists represent the information industry’s best products, technologies, and services created by or for media, publishers, and information services providers.
The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced Author-it as one of 91 CODiE Award content finalists across 26 categories.
Author-it Software Corporation, (ASC) is changing the way the world works with critical business documentation. While other solutions such as financial applications, supply chain management, PLM and ERP have evolved into database driven enterprise applications, documentation has languished in the stone-age still essentially replicating the typewriter. This has caused in a myriad of content issues across the world’s enterprises that result in 20 hours of lost productivity per week for every information worker. Author-it solves these problems by centralizing the content creation process, writing in components, and storing the pure content in a database.
With the release of Author-it Cloud, ASC has become the world’s first end-to-end Enterprise Authoring Platform on the Cloud. Author-it is used in over 50 countries, by over 3,500 clients and chosen by Fortune 500 organizations for worldwide deployments. ASC has offices in San Jose and Seattle, USA and in Auckland and Palmerston North, New Zealand.
"We are very proud to be selected as a finalist in the CODiE Awards"," said Steve Davis President of Author-it Software Corporation. "It is recognition of a lot of hard work by our team and this is also a reflection of the value that we are delivering to our clients. By enabling them to efficiently and with 100% consistency, integrate content into any workflow allows us to deliver to our clients, top line revenue, cost savings, productivity improvements and to reduce compliance risk in regulated industries."
During the SIIA’s annual flagship conference for information industry leader, CODiE winners will be announced at a special Content CODiE Awards luncheon that concludes the conference on January 30th.
“The CODiE Awards competition was extremely competitive this year and our finalists set the standard for innovation and quality in the media, publishing and information service markets,” said Kathy Greenler Sexton, VP & General Manager for the Content Division at SIIA. “Each and every finalist should be commended for their innovation and market-leading products and services. I look forward to seeing them all at the Information Industry Summit in January.”
The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program. The first round review of all nominees is conducted by media, publishing, and information services executives with considerable industry expertise, including members of the industry, analysts, media and bloggers, and bankers and investors. The judges are responsible for selecting the CODiE Awards finalists. SIIA members then vote on the finalist products and the scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.
