Upgrading to a new build of Author-it Live:
Detailed instructions for installing Author-it Live and instructions for upgrading to the latest build of Author-it Live are both available in the Knowledge Center.
Important: When upgrading, ensure you are running the latest builds of both Author-it and Author-it Live.
The following issues have been resolved in this build:
- Images are displayed correctly when publishing to Word or HTML.
- Objects such as topics, file objects, and hyperlink objects can only be created in folders when the user has the correct permissions.
- Jobs in the publishing list are refreshed when you choose "today's" publishing jobs.
- When using the Move option (from the shortcut menu) to move a folder to the root level, the folder correctly retains the focus. This matches the behavior of moving folders at child level.
- When working with object versions, the status of each object (active, inactive, or redundant) is displayed in the Folder object list. This occurs when there is more than one version, and a second, or later, version has been made active.
- When using object Replace (from the shortcut menu) the search results no longer include the object selected for replacement.
- One of the requirements of variants is that each object is "unique" so that you don't have two variant objects with matching criteria. When working with variant objects, if you create a duplicate of a variant object its variant criteria are no longer copied to the duplicate. This ensures you cannot create copies of objects with the same variant criteria.
- When changing an object's release state, the state and color (if used) are updated in the folder object list immediately.
- Improvements have been made to property validation for book, topic, and file objects. Non-numeric characters cannot be added to any fields requiring numeric values.
- When working with the book object, additional files added to the Web tab are saved correctly.
- When creating a new book the title fields for the Print, Help, and Web properties are correctly populated.
- When working with existing hyperlink objects, you can successfully save changes to the link properties (including changing the target from an external URL to a topic within the library).
