The following major enhancements have been added in this release:

Structured Authoring Phase 2 - Books and Topics:

Author-it's second phase of structured authoring builds on the functionality that introduced the structure builder and paragraph level rules for topics.

The second phase extends the rules to cover all forms of content used in topics with validation for tables, character styles, images, hyperlinks, variables, and embedded topics. Phase 2 also enables structures to be built for books. Book structure rules can be created for front and back matter, topics and topic templates, and sub books. The object hierarchy in the book structure is used to enforce the parent/child relationships in the book's content pane.

New Web Help Templates:

Author-it includes new Web Help templates for publishing your content to HTML with a modern look and feel. The templates assemble pages using client side JavaScript rather than using a frame set. Breadcrumb navigation is used to display the current location in the site. When content is published to an intranet the optional edit buttons enable access directly to the topic via Author-it or Author-it Live (access is dependant on the editing environment installed).
