Author-it Live 5.2.8.1766 (28 Jan 2009)

This release includes the following enhancement:

• Support for Object Variants: Live now includes support for creating and publishing object variants.

Note: Support for Structured Authoring (a new feature in Author-it 5.2) is planned for a future release, however you can create topics using the structured templates in Author-it Live 5.2. Rule validation for the topics occurs in the Author-it Editor.

The following issues have been resolved in this build:

• You can now right-click a file object in the Book Contents pane to open its Properties window.
• When working in the Book Contents pane, you can now move objects to a location above or below the Glossary object.
• When creating a new book, all available templates are listed in the template selection drop down list.
• When using the Description or Containing Text fields in Live to search for objects you get the same matches found in the Author-it Editor.
• When you move objects in the Book Contents pane using the Move Up or Move Down buttons the object now moves though the different levels correctly, matching the action in Author-it Editor.
• Libraries upgraded from 5.0 to 5.1 no longer cause an error when users log in to Live.
• When working with object versions you can change the release state assigned to a redundant object.
