Adding the Library to the Author-it Server Manager
The Author-it Server Manager console is used to configure, start, and stop the services. Once installed, and the Author-it Service is started, you are ready to configure your SQL library.
To Configure the Library:
- Open the Author-it Server Manager console:
- Choose Author-it Windows Service Manager from the Start menu
-or-
- Double-click the Author-it Server Manager shortcut.
- Choose Add Library. The Select Library window opens.
- Choose the SQL Server tab then enter the details to login to the database.
Note: You must log in a user with full access to the database.
Choose OK. The Library is added to the Libraries List (with separate entries for the Xtend Indexing and Publishing).
- Right-click on the Indexing service and choose Start Service.
