Error Message Notification
From time to time users may receive error messages when working with Author-it Website Manager. The errors will usually be a result of configuration or actions completed out of sequence. Two methods of recording error information are provided for the administrator:
- Log files: The log file records errors resulting from actions in Author-it Website Manager, and viewing the website. The log files are located in the Author-it Website Manager folder.
- Emails: The administrator is sent an email when an error occurs. To enable email notification you must edit the
config.php file located in the Author-it Website Manager folder.
To Enable Email Notification:
- Open the config.php file located in the Author-it Website Manager folder
- Search for the ADMIN_EMAIL entry
- Add the administrator's email address
- Save the changes to the file
